## What our customers say
- ★★★★★
Coming from the USA, my wife and I knew very little about the history or geography of North Wales. We shared our general interests and preferences with John in advance, allowing him to create a bespoke tour just for the two of us. He responded with an itinerary perfectly aligned with our tastes, and after a few thoughtful tweaks back and forth, he finalized a full-day experience that included a wonderful variety of elements.
John picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable Mercedes van, complete with water and Welsh treats. We hit it off immediately as he shared his deep love and knowledge of Wales during the drive. He even taught us a few Welsh phrases along the way—an amusing and memorable addition, especially as we struggled to pronounce them.
John struck the perfect balance between historical education and engaging anecdotes, which truly enriched our experience. He is flexible, good-humored, and—most importantly—kind. During our excursion, he stopped to give an injured elderly man we encountered along the roadside a lift back to his home, something we fully supported. That simple act showed us who John really is as a person and reflected the way the Welsh look out for one another. It is a moment we will never forget.
John made North Wales the highlight of our U.K. trip. If you want to experience North Wales in an immersive and meaningful way, we cannot recommend Celticos highly enough.

We had an incredible experience touring Anglesey and the surrounding area with John. From the very start, his communication was excellent, making everything smooth and easy to plan. Our group ranged in age from our children (10, 11, and 12) to my 75-year-old mother, who had never traveled abroad before, and John was wonderfully accommodating to everyone. His deep knowledge, thoughtful approach, and great sense of fun made the day engaging for all of us—our kids especially loved him. He also partnered with a colleague to help weave in our family's ancestry, which made the day uniquely meaningful. It was truly a special experience that we will always remember.

Wow! Stop scrolling for guides and book John directly! I was fortunate to find John who expertly put together a custom first time visit to Wales tour with a special emphasis on my family ancestry. I was short on time (just one day), and John not only brought the local knowledge, language and expertise, but the energy to cover over 200 miles to visit a wide variety of spots from castles, to cultural icons, to natural wonders, cute villages and local food specialties. John also squeezed in sites relevant to my ancestry, even texting along the way a genealogy colleague who provided a missing piece to the puzzle! John is charismatic, funny and an excellent guide. Flexible and imaginative all along the way. He was still sending me ideas of things to do the next day! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience in John's capable hands.
Entrusting someone out of the blue with such an important experience can be stressful - but I will be back one day and John is my first call. Don't hesitate!
Thank you John for making my trip so memorable!

John Pritchard was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and loves his country! Highly recommend John. Our best tour guide of our 18 day visit to the British Isles.

Our experience with John and Celticos Tours was beyond amazing! We've had the pleasure of touring with John twice in 3 years and he absolutely nailed everything we wanted to do and see. We saw the beautiful small towns of Wales, one cuter and more inviting than the next. Our hikes took us to gorgeous waterfalls, historic seaside lighthouses, churches, and more… all with stunning views.
To say the people of Wales are friendly is an understatement. From the Sunday Pot Roasts in the local pubs (best EVER!), to the bakeries, to every small business, they couldn't be more accommodating. We were lucky enough to be in Wales for 6 days, starting from breathtaking Anglesey, to Wrexham (where we were invited to go on the pitch!), through Snowdonia, to the world's highest aqueduct, down to Tenby… where we had very high expectations and we were not at all disappointed! Our accommodations were second to none, yet very affordable, with beautiful countryside inns, seaside spas, and waterfront homes, which were all unbelievably comfortable.
After seeing South Wales, we toured the picturesque coast back to Anglesey, where our tour would sadly end. It was such an amazing trip because John is a one of a kind tour guide, who makes you feel right at home. His love for his wonderful country makes touring with him an experience we've never had in all of our travels. Thanks to John, we are already planning our next trip back to Wales. There's always more to see and do!

Our group of 6 women from the US spent the most magical week being guided around Wales by John Pritchard and Celticos Tours. During the months before, over Zoom and email, he helped us plan the a custom itinerary. Then, he met us when we arrived by ferry from Dublin, and took us exploring the tidal coasts, ancient castles, short hikes and quaint villages of North Wales and Snowdonia. We then headed south, stopping in Tenby, and ending in Cardiff. He is very knowledgeable about the country and culture, is fluent is Welsh (and made sure we learned a few words!), and would tinker with the itinerary as we went to accommodate our interests and curiosity.
Throughout, he safely navigated us on Wales' tiny back roads in his comfy Mercedes van, and was just a pure joy to spend a week with. We can't imagine seeing Wales with anyone else, and some of us are planning to go back with family to introduce them to this special country. And, we'll go with Celticos. Excellent all around, and we are grateful to John for helping us have such an amazing trip.

### Best guide ever.
John was the perfect guide for our American group. His love and knowledge of Wales was boundless. Such the right balance of education/facts with letting us socialize. He was flexible and kind and always good-humored. Vehicle was clean, and we got complimentary water and Welsh treats, plus some fun sampling of the language. John made Wales the highlight of our U.K. tour. We all want to visit again!

### Can't recommend enough
Celticos was a superb experience. Our specific needs were met throughout the day and we were given a fantastic tour of north wales with historical insights, beauty spots and cultural experiences. We couldn't recommend Celticos highly enough.

## Meet John, your private guide to Wales

*John, on the road*

*Guiding guests in the Welsh hills*
I'm John, and I own Celticos.
I was brought up on Anglesey and went to a Welsh-speaking school on the island. My family have been here for generations. After some years over the border, coming back made me realise how unique this country is, and how much it means to me.
I bought Celticos a few years ago from my neighbour Alwyn Griffiths, who founded it. Between us we've been guiding here for years, and I now have the privilege of showing hundreds of people around Wales each year.
Welsh is one of the oldest living languages in Europe, and the Welsh are proud of keeping it. The history and culture run deep. My guests often tell me Wales is the part of the British Isles that surprised them most: unique, scenic, and fascinating in ways they hadn't expected.
If you're thinking about a visit, I'd love to hear from you and help you see it properly.
Diolch,
— John, Celticos

A person replies and plans the tour with you; there is no booking API or instant checkout. ## What guests say > "Hands down, this is THE tour guide for North Wales. We shared our general interests and preferences with John in advance, allowing him to create a bespoke tour just for the two of us. He responded with an itinerary perfectly aligned with our tastes, and after a few thoughtful tweaks back and forth, he finalized a full-day experience that included a wonderful variety of elements.\n\n John picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable Mercedes van, complete with water and Welsh treats. We hit it off immediately as he shared his deep love and knowledge of Wales during the drive. He even taught us a few Welsh phrases along the way—an amusing and memorable addition, especially as we struggled to pronounce them.\n\n John struck the perfect balance between historical education and engaging anecdotes, which truly enriched our experience. He is flexible, good-humored, and—most importantly—kind. During our excursion, he stopped to give an injured elderly man we encountered along the roadside a lift back to his home, something we fully supported. That simple act showed us who John really is as a person and reflected the way the Welsh look out for one another. It is a moment we will never forget.\n\n John made North Wales the highlight of our U.K. trip. If you want to experience North Wales in an immersive and meaningful way, we cannot recommend Celticos highly enough.\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n We had an incredible experience touring Anglesey and the surrounding area with John. It was truly a special experience that we will always remember.\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n Wow! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience in John's capable hands.\n\n Entrusting someone out of the blue with such an important experience can be stressful - but I will be back one day and John is my first call. Don't hesitate!\n\n Thank you John for making my trip so memorable!\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n John was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable, professional and showed us things we never would have experienced without him!!! He gave us a lot of history of Wales in a fun way! I've been on a lot of tours and this one was 100% the best ever! Give him a try. You won't be disappointed!!!\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n John Pritchard was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, friendly and loves his country! Highly recommend John. Our best tour guide of our 18 day visit to the British Isles.\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n Our experience with John and Celticos Tours was beyond amazing! We've had the pleasure of touring with John twice in 3 years and he absolutely nailed everything we wanted to do and see. We saw the beautiful small towns of Wales, one cuter and more inviting than the next. Our hikes took us to gorgeous waterfalls, historic seaside lighthouses, churches, and more… all with stunning views.\n\n To say the people of Wales are friendly is an understatement. Our accommodations were second to none, yet very affordable, with beautiful countryside inns, seaside spas, and waterfront homes, which were all unbelievably comfortable.\n\n After seeing South Wales, we toured the picturesque coast back to Anglesey, where our tour would sadly end. It was such an amazing trip because John is a one of a kind tour guide, who makes you feel right at home. His love for his wonderful country makes touring with him an experience we've never had in all of our travels. Thanks to John, we are already planning our next trip back to Wales. There's always more to see and do!\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n John was a wonderful tour guide. He showed us the best of North Wales. He provided the right amount of education, humor and general talk. He was respectful and prompt every morning. We 100% would recommend.\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n Our group of 6 women from the US spent the most magical week being guided around Wales by John Pritchard and Celticos Tours. He is very knowledgeable about the country and culture, is fluent is Welsh (and made sure we learned a few words!), and would tinker with the itinerary as we went to accommodate our interests and curiosity.\n\n Throughout, he safely navigated us on Wales' tiny back roads in his comfy Mercedes van, and was just a pure joy to spend a week with. We can't imagine seeing Wales with anyone else, and some of us are planning to go back with family to introduce them to this special country. And, we'll go with Celticos. Excellent all around, and we are grateful to John for helping us have such an amazing trip.\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n John was the perfect guide for our American group. His love and knowledge of Wales was boundless. Such the right balance of education/facts with letting us socialize. He was flexible and kind and always good-humored. Vehicle was clean, and we got complimentary water and Welsh treats, plus some fun sampling of the language. John made Wales the highlight of our U.K. tour. We all want to visit again!\n\n- ★★★★★\n\n Celticos was a superb experience. Our specific needs were met throughout the day and we were given a fantastic tour of north wales with historical insights, beauty spots and cultural experiences. We couldn't recommend Celticos highly enough.\n\n★★★★★\n\n### Hands down, this is THE tour guide for North Wales.\n\nComing from the USA, my wife and I knew very little about the history or geography of North Wales. We shared our general interests and preferences with John in advance, allowing him to create a bespoke tour just for the two of us. He responded with an itinerary perfectly aligned with our tastes, and after a few thoughtful tweaks back and forth, he finalized a full-day experience that included a wonderful variety of elements.\n\nJohn picked us up at our hotel in a clean, comfortable Mercedes van, complete with water and Welsh treats. We hit it off immediately as he shared his deep love and knowledge of Wales during the drive. He even taught us a few Welsh phrases along the way—an amusing and memorable addition, especially as we struggled to pronounce them.\n\nJohn struck the perfect balance between historical education and engaging anecdotes, which truly enriched our experience. He is flexible, good-humored, and—most importantly—kind. During our excursion, he stopped to give an injured elderly man we encountered along the roadside a lift back to his home, something we fully supported. That simple act showed us who John really is as a person and reflected the way the Welsh look out for one another. It is a moment we will never forget.\n\nJohn made North Wales the highlight of our U.K. trip. If you want to experience North Wales in an immersive and meaningful way, we cannot recommend Celticos highly enough.\n\n★★★★★\n\n### We had an incredible experience\n\nWe had an incredible experience touring Anglesey and the surrounding area with John. It was truly a special experience that we will always remember.\n\n★★★★★\n\n### Stop searching - book it!\n\nWow! I couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience in John's capable hands.\n\nEntrusting someone out of the blue with such an important experience can be stressful - but I will be back one day and John is my first call. Don't hesitate!\n\nThank you John for making my trip so memorable!\n\n★★★★★\n\n### Amazing tour of Wales\n\nJohn was an amazing tour guide! My family have been here for generations. After some years over the border, coming back made me realise how unique this country is, and how much it means to me.\n\nI bought Celticos a few years ago from my neighbour Alwyn Griffiths, who founded it. Between us we've been guiding here for years, and I now have the privilege of showing hundreds of people around Wales each year.\n\nWelsh is one of the oldest living languages in Europe, and the Welsh are proud of keeping it. The history and culture run deep. My guests often tell me Wales is the part of the British Isles that surprised them most: unique, scenic, and fascinating in ways they hadn't expected.\n\nIf you're thinking about a visit, I'd love to hear from you and help you see it properly.\n\nDiolch,\n\n— John, Celticos\n\n## Featured tours\n\nEvery Celticos tour is built around you. This JSON is for internal use — unlike the Markdown and llms.txt files, it's not meant to be uploaded to your site. Save it as a baseline to track your score over time, share it with your dev team, or integrate it into your CI/CD pipeline.

Want a second opinion?
Cloudflare runs a free scanner too, and it asks a different question. It scores what your site publishes for agents to call — MCP server cards, Agent Skills, API catalogs, DNS records. We score whether an agent can reach, read and understand your content. A site can do well on one and poorly on the other, so expect two different numbers: they are answers to two different questions, and both are worth knowing.
