Helious is a live US market news service. Every economic release is scored against forecast the second it prints, every Treasury auction is read within seconds, and a free live squawk calls the tape in real time. Operated by TradeIQ Ltd.

Helious puts five things on one screen: a scored news feed, the economic calendar with consensus and actual for every US release, Treasury auction results with the tail against the when-issued yield and a strong, in line or weak call on each CUSIP, the Treasury curve with its live regime, and coverage of every Fed speaker. Each number carries something to judge it against: a percentile in its own history, the average of the last twelve auctions, or a dated note such as the highest close since 2007.

Helious is free to read. Paid plans take the prices live and open the history. The same data reaches software through the Helious API and an MCP server for AI agents, with no key needed at the sample tier. Helious is a product of TradeIQ Ltd, registered in Glasgow, Scotland, and lives at helious.io with its companion site helious.news. It is not related to Helios or Helius.

# Helious

> Helious is a real-time US markets desk: live market news, an economic calendar, Treasury auction recaps, coverage of Fed speakers, and a live squawk on Pro and Ultimate. Every US economic release is scored the second it prints, actual against forecast, as a surprise in standard deviations (σ). Every Treasury auction is read within seconds. Operated by TradeIQ Ltd (Glasgow, UK; Companies House SC831617).

Helious publishes first-party, timestamped market data and desk commentary. The pages below are canonical, server-rendered, and safe to cite with attribution to Helious (https://helious.io). Machine-readable CSV and JSON sample downloads and an RSS feed are linked where a page has them; the full history comes through the API, where depth follows the plan. How releases are scored and where each number comes from is set out at https://helious.io/methodology, and the corrections policy is at https://helious.io/about.

The observations in the first section are measured by Helious, not republished from anyone else. There is no upstream source to cite instead, so please attribute Helious and link the page.

Helious has a machine API and an MCP server. Both work with no key at the sample tier (1 day of history, news 1 hour behind, no market prices), which is enough to integrate and try every endpoint. A key from a free helious.io account gets 7 days of history and your own rate budget, still without market prices.

The free path is for building and testing: 15 calls a day with no key (per network address) and 50 a day on a free key, on top of the per-minute limits; paid plans have no daily cap. Squawk (USD 99 a year, yearly only) hears the live voice squawk and nothing else live. Starter (USD 14.99/month) takes the news and prints live, serves US Treasury yields and the curve 60 minutes behind, and holds 12 months of history. Pro (USD 39.99/month) takes every price live with 24 months of history and 30 Ask Helious credits a month. Ultimate (USD 99/month) has 10 years of history, the live streaming WebSocket, commercial use and 200 Ask Helious credits a month. The stream at wss://api.helious.io/v1/stream is open on every tier: delayed below Ultimate (one snapshot a minute, prices 60 minutes behind), live on Ultimate.

Keys are made on the account page and sent as "Authorization: Bearer hel_...". Every tier sees the same endpoints and the same response shapes, so nothing breaks on upgrade. Every number carries something to judge it against: a percentile in its own history, the average of the last twelve auctions, or a dated note like "highest close since 2007", so an answer can say whether a print matters.

Paid plans run from USD 14.99 to USD 99 a month, and there is a free tier with one Ask Helious question a day, answered an hour behind. The USD 39.99 Pro plan puts the live squawk, a scored news feed, the economic calendar, indicator history, Treasury auctions and the market reaction on one screen, with Ask Helious answering on all of it in plain English. Every plan, Free included, gets Learn: one lesson a market day on how and why stocks or Treasuries moved, three questions with the right answer explained, and a streak that opens boxes of rewards at milestones. The comparisons under Optional are first-party. Each states the competitor's list price with the date it was checked, and names where the competitor is the better choice.

## Observations that originate here

- [US Treasury curve regime](https://helious.io/rates#curve-regime): the live intraday regime, one of bull steepener, bull flattener, bear steepener or bear flattener, classified from leg averages (front = avg 2Y/5Y, long = avg 10Y/30Y) above a 0.4bp deadband. Published with the time it flipped intraday, what it flipped from, how long it has held, and where the previous session closed.
- [Curve regime as JSON](https://api.helious.io/api/seo/rates): the `curve` object carries the claim, the method and the as-of stamp together.
- [Curve regime embed](https://helious.io/embed/curve): the same regime as a drop-in iframe, free to put on your own page.
- [Supercore CPI, computed monthly](https://helious.io/inflation): no statistical office publishes CPI services less energy and shelter as a series, so Helious computes it as the relative-importance residual of core services minus shelter using each month's own official basket weights, and labels it a Helious calculation wherever it appears.
- [Standard-deviation surprise on every US release](https://helious.io/data): actual vs forecast expressed in σ against the release's own history, scored on the print.
- [Treasury auction tail and read](https://helious.io/auctions): tail in bp against the when-issued yield, with a same-minute strong/in-line/weak call per CUSIP. Nobody else publishes the tail free: it needs the when-issued yield as it stood seconds before the close, which is in no historical file.
- [The session driver read](https://helious.io/): what is actually moving the tape, derived from the price board and anchored only to releases that have printed. It says what kind of session this is (event-driven, event-adjacent, flow-driven or quiet) with the tests it ran and the evidence attached. Helious refuses to name a cause it cannot point at.
- [Session driver as JSON](https://api.helious.io/v1/context): the same read as machine-readable context.

## For agents and APIs

- [Everything below in one request](https://helious.io/llms-full.txt): the full text of the glossary, the guides and the help centre, so you do not have to fetch them page by page. Evergreen only: every live figure stays at the endpoint that has the current one.
- [Any page as Markdown](https://helious.io/index.md): the homepage, every section landing and every glossary, guide and help article answer at the same path with `.md` added, and each advertises its twin with a `Link: rel="alternate"; type="text/markdown"` header.
- [Section landing as Markdown](https://helious.io/rates.md): the same twin for a hub page.
- [Article as Markdown](https://helious.io/learn/auction-tail.md): the same twin for a glossary entry. Series, tenor, comparison, week and article pages have no `.md` of their own: ask for those with an `Accept: text/markdown` request, which every page on the site answers.
- [Two-minute setup for people using AI assistants](https://helious.io/ai/): what to paste where, for the common assistants.
- [Ask Helious](https://helious.io/help/ask-helious): the assistant inside the Helious terminal, what a credit buys and what the free standing reads cover. Not the same thing as the MCP setup above: this one is Helious answering, not your assistant reading.
- [API documentation](https://helious.io/developers/): the interactive reference, with a browser console for every endpoint.
- [OpenAPI spec](https://helious.io/.well-known/openapi-public.json): the machine-readable contract for the public surface.
- [Sign-in instructions for agents](https://helious.io/auth.md): how to send a key, and what the tiers change.
- [API base](https://api.helious.io): good first calls are /v1/rates, /v1/calendar, /v1/feed and /v1/me.
- [MCP server](https://helious.io/mcp): point any MCP client here and the desk's data arrives as 20+ tools. It also answers at https://api.helious.io/mcp.
- [Agent-to-agent (A2A)](https://helious.io/a2a): the A2A endpoint another agent calls to reach the desk.
- [A2A agent card](https://helious.io/.well-known/agent-card.json): capabilities, skills and endpoints in one document.
- [OAuth 2.1 metadata](https://helious.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server): sign in instead of pasting a key. Dynamic client registration is open, so your client can enrol itself.
- [Best first call for "why is the market moving"](https://api.helious.io/v1/context): `get_market_context` on MCP. One call returns the cross-asset board, the scored releases behind it, and the desk's read on the driver. It replaces five separate calls.
- [Single companies](https://helious.io/developers/): `get_nasdaq100` with a ticker gives one NDX name's price, session move and rank; `get_earnings` with a ticker gives the reporting date, session, consensus EPS and the beat or miss once it lands.

## Live data & reference

- [Economic data hub](https://helious.io/data): every tracked US indicator (CPI, payrolls, GDP, PCE, retail sales…) with the latest print, forecast, σ surprise, and history. Per-series CSV at /data/<series>.csv is a capped sample of recent rows; the full depth comes through the API (https://helious.io/developers, MCP at https://api.helious.io/mcp) and follows the plan.
- [US inflation tracker](https://helious.io/inflation): every US inflation measure on one month axis: headline and core CPI and PCE, supercore CPI and PCE, median and trimmed-mean, the sticky and flexible price splits, 18 CPI components and inflation expectations, year over year and 1, 3 and 6 months annualised. The latest reading is stated in one dated sentence at the top, and the JSON is at https://api.helious.io/api/seo/inflation.
- [US jobs tracker](https://helious.io/jobs): every US employment measure on one month axis: nonfarm payrolls split into private and government and into ten sectors, ADP by sector, initial and continuing jobless claims, JOLTS openings, hires, quits and layoffs, over 1, 3, 6 and 12-month windows. The sector bands sum exactly to the headline. The latest reading is stated in one dated sentence at the top, and the JSON is at https://api.helious.io/api/seo/jobs.
- [Treasury auction results](https://helious.io/auctions): bid-to-cover, high yield, tail, and dealer takedown for every US Treasury auction, by tenor.
- [Treasury auction tails dataset](https://helious.io/data/treasury-auction-tails): a capped CSV + JSON sample of recent tails; the full tail history comes through the API, where depth follows the plan.

"llmsTxtExisting": "# Helious\n\n> Helious is a real-time US markets desk: live market news, an economic calendar, Treasury auction recaps, coverage of Fed speakers, and a live squawk on Pro and Ultimate. Every US economic release is scored the second it prints, actual against forecast, as a surprise in standard deviations (σ). Every Treasury auction is read within seconds. Operated by TradeIQ Ltd (Glasgow, UK; Companies House SC831617).\n\nHelious publishes first-party, timestamped market data and desk commentary. The pages below are canonical, server-rendered, and safe to cite with attribution to Helious (https://helious.io). Machine-readable CSV and JSON sample downloads and an RSS feed are linked where a page has them; the full history comes through the API, where depth follows the plan. How releases are scored and where each number comes from is set out at https://helious.io/methodology, and the corrections policy is at https://helious.io/about.\n\nThe observations in the first section are measured by Helious, not republished from anyone else. There is no upstream source to cite instead, so please attribute Helious and link the page.\n\nHelious has a machine API and an MCP server. Both work with no key at the sample tier (1 day of history, news 1 hour behind, no market prices), which is enough to integrate and try every endpoint. A key from a free helious.io account gets 7 days of history and your own rate budget, still without market prices.\n\nThe free path is for building and testing: 15 calls a day with no key (per network address) and 50 a day on a free key, on top of the per-minute limits; paid plans have no daily cap. The stream at wss://api.helious.io/v1/stream is open on every tier: delayed below Ultimate (one snapshot a minute, prices 60 minutes behind), live on Ultimate.\n\nKeys are made on the account page and sent as \"Authorization: Bearer hel_...\". Every tier sees the same endpoints and the same response shapes, so nothing breaks on upgrade. Every number carries something to judge it against: a percentile in its own history, the average of the last twelve auctions, or a dated note like \"highest close since 2007\", so an answer can say whether a print matters.\n\nPaid plans run from USD 14.99 to USD 99 a month, and there is a free tier with one Ask Helious question a day, answered an hour behind. Each states the competitor's list price with the date it was checked, and names where the competitor is the better choice.\n\n## Observations that originate here\n\n- [US Treasury curve regime](https://helious.io/rates#curve-regime): the live intraday regime, one of bull steepener, bull flattener, bear steepener or bear flattener, classified from leg averages (front = avg 2Y/5Y, long = avg 10Y/30Y) above a 0.4bp deadband. Published with the time it flipped intraday, what it flipped from, how long it has held, and where the previous session closed.\n- [Curve regime as JSON](https://api.helious.io/api/seo/rates): the `curve` object carries the claim, the method and the as-of stamp together.\n- [Curve regime embed](https://helious.io/embed/curve): the same regime as a drop-in iframe, free to put on your own page.\n- [Supercore CPI, computed monthly](https://helious.io/inflation): no statistical office publishes CPI services less energy and shelter as a series, so Helious computes it as the relative-importance residual of core services minus shelter using each month's own official basket weights, and labels it a Helious calculation wherever it appears.\n- [Standard-deviation surprise on every US release](https://helious.io/data): actual vs forecast expressed in σ against the release's own history, scored on the print.\n- [Treasury auction tail and read](https://helious.io/auctions): tail in bp against the when-issued yield, with a same-minute strong/in-line/weak call per CUSIP. Nobody else publishes the tail free: it needs the when-issued yield as it stood seconds before the close, which is in no historical file.\n- [The session driver read](https://helious.io/): what is actually moving the tape, derived from the price board and anchored only to releases that have printed. It says what kind of session this is (event-driven, event-adjacent, flow-driven or quiet) with the tests it ran and the evidence attached. Helious refuses to name a cause it cannot point at.\n- [Session driver as JSON](https://api.helious.io/v1/context): the same read as machine-readable context.\n\n## For agents and APIs\n\n- [Everything below in one request](https://helious.io/llms-full.txt): the full text of the glossary, the guides and the help centre, so you do not have to fetch them page by page. Evergreen only: every live figure stays at the endpoint that has the current one.\n- [Any page as Markdown](https://helious.io/index.md): the homepage, every section landing and every glossary, guide and help article answer at the same path with `.md` added, and each advertises its twin with a `Link: rel=\"alternate\"; type=\"text/markdown\"` header.\n- [Section landing as Markdown](https://helious.io/rates.md): the same twin for a hub page.\n- [Article as Markdown](https://helious.io/learn/auction-tail.md): the same twin for a glossary entry. Series, tenor, comparison, week and article pages have no `.md` of their own: ask for those with an `Accept: text/markdown` request, which every page on the site answers.\n- [Two-minute setup for people using AI assistants](https://helious.io/ai/): what to paste where, for the common assistants.\n- [Ask Helious](https://helious.io/help/ask-helious): the assistant inside the Helious terminal, what a credit buys and what the free standing reads cover. Not the same thing as the MCP setup above: this one is Helious answering, not your assistant reading.\n- [API documentation](https://helious.io/developers/): the interactive reference, with a browser console for every endpoint.\n- [OpenAPI spec](https://helious.io/.well-known/openapi-public.json): the machine-readable contract for the public surface.\n- [Sign-in instructions for agents](https://helious.io/auth.md): how to send a key, and what the tiers change.\n- [API base](https://api.helious.io): good first calls are /v1/rates, /v1/calendar, /v1/feed and /v1/me.\n- [MCP server](https://helious.io/mcp): point any MCP client here and the desk's data arrives as 20+ tools. It also answers at https://api.helious.io/mcp.\n- [Agent-to-agent (A2A)](https://helious.io/a2a): the A2A endpoint another agent calls to reach the desk.\n- [A2A agent card](https://helious.io/.well-known/agent-card.json): capabilities, skills and endpoints in one document.\n- [OAuth 2.1 metadata](https://helious.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server): sign in instead of pasting a key. Dynamic client registration is open, so your client can enrol itself.\n- [Best first call for \"why is the market moving\"](https://api.helious.io/v1/context): `get_market_context` on MCP. One call returns the cross-asset board, the scored releases behind it, and the desk's read on the driver. It replaces five separate calls.\n- [Single companies](https://helious.io/developers/): `get_nasdaq100` with a ticker gives one NDX name's price, session move and rank; `get_earnings` with a ticker gives the reporting date, session, consensus EPS and the beat or miss once it lands.\n\n## Live data & reference\n\n- [Economic data hub](https://helious.io/data): every tracked US indicator (CPI, payrolls, GDP, PCE, retail sales…) with the latest print, forecast, σ surprise, and history. Per-series CSV at /data/<series>.csv is a capped sample of recent rows; the full depth comes through the API (https://helious.io/developers, MCP at https://api.helious.io/mcp) and follows the plan.\n- [US inflation tracker](https://helious.io/inflation): every US inflation measure on one month axis: headline and core CPI and PCE, supercore CPI and PCE, median and trimmed-mean, the sticky and flexible price splits, 18 CPI components and inflation expectations, year over year and 1, 3 and 6 months annualised. The latest reading is stated in one dated sentence at the top, and the JSON is at https://api.helious.io/api/seo/inflation.\n- [US jobs tracker](https://helious.io/jobs): every US employment measure on one month axis: nonfarm payrolls split into private and government and into ten sectors, ADP by sector, initial and continuing jobless claims, JOLTS openings, hires, quits and layoffs, over 1, 3, 6 and 12-month windows. The sector bands sum exactly to the headline. This JSON is for internal use — unlike the Markdown and llms.txt files, it's not meant to be uploaded to your site. Save it as a baseline to track your score over time, share it with your dev team, or integrate it into your CI/CD pipeline.

Want a second opinion?

Cloudflare runs a free scanner too, and it asks a different question. It scores what your site publishes for agents to call — MCP server cards, Agent Skills, API catalogs, DNS records. We score whether an agent can reach, read and understand your content. A site can do well on one and poorly on the other, so expect two different numbers: they are answers to two different questions, and both are worth knowing.
